OVERVIEW

This course will enable you to develop a broad range of knowledge and skills appropriate to managers and entrepreneurs. The course is 17 hours per week for 2 years.

Staff on this course are all highly qualified to deliver the programme and have substantial work experience in the areas that they are delivering on.

The course will incorporate a number of field trips – one in semester one and one in semester two (average cost per visit £20).

REQUIREMENTS

Applicants must have:
a) A minimum of 48 UCAS points
b) GCSE Maths grade C or Essential Skills L2
c) GCSE English Language grade C or Essential Skills L2

ASSESSMENT

You will be assessed on a regular basis throughout the programme using a range of appropriate assessment methods such as written and practical assignments, exams, projects, case studies, presentations and live briefs.

This course is accredited by Pearson and regulated by QAA.

·         Submit all coursework and assessments by specified dates, coursework submitted without consent after the deadline shall not normally be accepted.

·         Pass all modules in each year of study in order to proceed to the next year of the programme.

PROGRESSION

On successful completion of this course you may progress to senior positions in business, retail, personnel, marketing and finance or you may go on to enrol on a relevant degree course and gain maximum exemption for the subjects taken on the HND. 

Students who wish to progress to the BSc Degree in Business Studies can do so at the SRC on a part time basis.

The delivery model for this is 2 years.

DURATION: Blended learning option – 2 evenings per week for 3 years.

OVERVIEW

This course will provide you with all the artistic and technical skills you need to be a successful photographer. It also provides you with the opportunity for further study at degree level at Southern Regional College or other universities. The course is offered as a blended mode on two evenings with at least 40% of these sessions delivered remotely saving you from having to physically travel to the college.

TUITION FEES

Tuition fees £474, Exam and Registration fees £214 and materials fee £30

OTHER FEES ASSOCIATED WITH COURSE

You are also required to travel to galleries and other places of interest in relation to your study. Field trips to Belfast and other local venues may cost approximately £40 per year.

REQUIREMENTS

A minimum of 48 UCAS points gained through an Extended Diploma in Art & Design or Media, ‘A’ Levels or equivalent, plus GCSE English and Maths or equivalent.  See admissions criteria for full details. Interview and portfolio of work required. Adult returners and those working in the industry may not require these qualifications.
